Randolph Township, NJ
Randolph Township — spacious suburban living supporting an active family lifestyle.
Founded in 1805, Randolph Township includes neighborhoods such as Ironia, Mount Freedom, Shongum, Millbrook and Mount Fern. Randolph Township is a largely residential town which boasts excellent schools, active recreation programs and a wealth of citizen volunteers. The town was named for Harrison Fitz-Randolph, one of the area's orginial landowners who settled here in the 1700's. Founders Day is celebrated each year on November 13th.
The township has been a leader in preservation of open space, through a dedicated local tax and the use of county and state funds. Freedom Park on Carrell Road is the town's largest recreational facility and features a wonderful children's playground. Also, athletic fields are located at Heistien Park on Doby Road and Freedom Park on Millbrook Road, which connects to Patriot's Path.
Highly praised stage productions are presented frequently by the Brundage Playhouse community theater group. Their productions are usually held at the playhouse on Carrell Road.
Randolph has approximately 23,000 residents, with a projected growth to nearly 30,000 by 2010.
