New Construction on The Island of Tinos, Greece.

The new seashore village called "Cyclades", consists of twenty one (21) independent three-level and two-level houses, bearing the names of Cycladic Islands, all with small garden or yard and balconies overlooking the sea.

It is built on a slope and this enables the unobstructed panoramic view to the sea from every single house.The housing estate is on a lot from where one has a clear view of eight Cycladic Islands - Rinia, Delos, Syros, Naxos, Paros, Antiparos, Sifnos and the closest of all Myconos (15 min by boat).

Both the architectural design and the construction have followed the Cycladic tradition and as a result the entire housing estate has successfully been adopted to the magnificent setting where the plasticity of the rocks and the bright blue sky combine startlingly with the clear water of the sea.

Every house has a fireplace for the winter months, a reservoir with a water pump, as well as regular connection to the island's water supply. The building materials used for the exterior of the houses have been paved with stone using traditional rustic plaster or stones for the exterior walls.

The houses are in the village of Agios Sostis, which is situated six (6) kilometers from the port of Tinos. The island is accessible by boat from the ports of Piraeus and Rafina with daily departures all year round. The duration of the trip is four hours by ferry and one and a half hour by high speed boats. There is no airport on the island. However, there are local thirty-minute (30 min) flights from Athens to Myconos or Syros and from there a twenty-minute trip to Tinos by ferry. There are also international charter flights to Myconos from many European cities.
