MENDHAM'S COLDWELL BANKER SPONSORS TOYS FOR TOTS
The Mendham office of Coldwell Banker is once again a local sponsor for the TOYS FOR TOTS program, which is organized by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Our agent Nadine Pechmann is the chairperson with assistance from the Mendham High School Service Club and students at Gill St. Bernards School.
We are collecting new toys at our office at 106A East Main Street, Mendham from November 28 - December 19, 2011.
The new toys for children ages 0 to 13 should be brought unwrapped and placed in the toy box in the lobby of our front office. Our gifts are distributed to churches, day care centers and other non-profit organizations throughout New Jersey and given to children who would not have a special Christmas Day without these donations.
The Toys for Tots Foundation (visit toysfortots.org) began in 1947 when a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. In 2008, local coordinators distributed over 19 million toys to 7.5 million needy children. The primary goal of the Foundation is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
